In an Emergency

If you have a dental emergency during normal working hours you should contact the practice as early as you can in the day so that we can either give you advice or fit you into our reserved emergency slots for the day. If an emergency occurs out of practice hours you should telephone the practice on 01684 572357 for further information.

First Aid for Teeth

If a permanent tooth is knocked out completely

• Retrieve the tooth, but do not touch its root, hold it by the crown.
• Place the tooth in milk, or water if no milk available.
  Do not put the tooth in antiseptic.
• Arrange to see a dentist as soon as possible.

If a permanent front tooth is fractured

• Retrieve the fractured piece if possible.
• Place the fragment in milk or water. Do not put it in antiseptic.
• Arrange to see a dentist as soon as possible.
